Cocktail's Are Becoming Insanely Expensive
PLUS: Some personal things
Good Morning! Happy Friday, hope you had a good week! 2 newsletters in 1 week!? Yup! I’m working overtime for y’all to make up for the lack of a newsletter last week. 😂 How have I been? Oh a little stressed, but also re-energized. Been way more hands on at my bar and restaurant over the last few weeks than in quite some time. I have been serving more and bartending more and training quite a few new faces so it has made making content a little bit more tough.
One of the things that i spoke about quite a bit in a video I did post this week, is how profoundly the rebrand has impacted me personally. I didn’t expect it to impact me so much. I have poured my heart and soul into this place for the last 5+ years, and it has been a hard journey. But one of the most impactful things someone said to me during our first weekend open again was, “Wow this place finally feels like its yours” And that really stuck with me.
Anyway, let me know. Would you like me to make a follow up video to the one I made about opening a Restaurant 6 months before the pandemic hit? I could explore things I’ve learned, some more original cocktails, or maybe even talk about what its like to juggle content creation and running a business.
Cocktails are becoming increasingly more expensive, So I tried to recreated Applebee’s Dollarita BUT BETTER!
You’ve probably been out and have been outraged at the price of cocktails at your local bar, but then you might also (like me) have seen ads for Applebee’s Dollarita. Like excuse me? How the F*** are they selling margaritas for a dollar?!
Of course we know that they probably (ahem… definitely) aren’t using quality ingredients. So I got to thinking, what if we could make a Super High Quality Margarita that would cost less than a dollar to make?
I have been thinking about making this video for quite some time, I even made the thumbnail way back in April! But it took me quite some time to get everything together for it and it was quite the trip!
If you are a bar owner or bartender looking to make some happy hour cocktails, or create a new special for the month to try and boost sales, Id say give this a shot!
Best Video We Saw this Week
Kaitlyn is a kickass bartender and content creator and this video shows exactly why. A beautiful mash up of a Dirty Martini and a G&T. I love seeing cool mash-ups and fun ideas like this come to light especially when presented by such a great bartender (who was crowned World Class Bartender of the Year 2017).
Kaitlyn is also a hilariously awesome person to be around and her energy is infectious and I think you get so much of that through her videos.
